Peter McCawley Book Launch

The ANU Indonesia Project, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), celebrated the launch of Pursuing Inclusive Economic Development in Asia, a volume honoring the legacy of Peter McCawley. Edited by Hal Hill and Daniel Suryadarma, the volume presents thirteen chapters exploring inclusive economic growth, examining the roles of globalization, foreign direct investment, and public policy. The book offers valuable lessons, insights, and cautionary perspectives for researchers and policymakers seeking to promote inclusion while sustaining growth.

The launch featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Budy Resosudarmo (ANU Indonesia Project), Rizki Siregar (Universitas Indonesia), Sandy Maulana (Independent Researcher), and Tom McCawley (family member). The discussion reflected on the significance of McCawley’s work, the contributions of the volume, and the challenges and opportunities for inclusive economic development in Asia.
